Sri Lanka and Bangladesh players will arrive late due to their bilateral series. Sri Lankan team is currently on New Zealand tour. The last match of the tour will be on 8th April. At the same time, Bangladesh is playing against Ireland at home. This tour will also end on 8 April. Along with this, ODI matches are to be played between Netherlands and South Africa on 31 March and 2 April. Due to this, many big players will not be able to participate in the initial matches of IPL.

Chennai Super Kings: Mathisha Pathirana and Mahesh Teekshana will not be available until after 8th April. Will miss at least three matches.
Punjab Kings: Kagiso Rabada can join the team on 3 April. Will miss the first match.
Lucknow Super Giants: Quinton de Kock can join the team on 3 April. Will miss at least 2 matches.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Marco Jansen, Heinrich Klaasen along with captain Aiden Markram will be able to join the squad on 3 April. He will not play the first match.
Gujarat Titans: David Miller will be able to come only till April 3 and will not be able to play the first match of the team.
Kolkata Knight Riders: Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan will not be available till 8th April, will miss at least first 2 matches.
Delhi Capitals: Mustafizur Rahman will also miss the three matches as he is not available till April 8. Lungi Ngidi and Anrich Nortje are also going to miss at least the first match.
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Wanindu Hasaranga will miss the two RCB matches as he will be available after April 8.
Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals: No player is participating in these series.
