    PSL 2023: Aamer Jamal’s over that took Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi just one win away from the final

    Lahore: Peshawar Zalmi, captained by Babar Azam, is now just one win away from reaching the final of the Pakistan Super League. The Eliminator-1 Peshawar, played at the Gaddafi Stadium on Thursday night, defeated Islamabad United by 12 runs and was thrown out of the tournament. Now the next match of Babar Sena will be against Lahore Qalandars in Eliminator-2, whoever wins this match will play the final against Multan Sultans. Captain Babar Azam scored a brilliant half-century in this big match, while the bowlers bowled hard.

    Superb Fifty of Babar Azam

    Batting first after winning the toss, Islamabad United scored 183 runs at the loss of 8 wickets on the scoreboard. Babar Azam scored 64 runs in 39 balls. Even faster 34 runs came off the bat of Mohammad Haris. In reply, Islamabad United could manage only 171 runs and lost the match by 12 runs. At one time the match seemed equal, but the game turned in the 17th over.

New Zealand explosive batsmen Colin Munro, who hit a 47-ball century in T20s, and Alex Hales were at the crease, who scored 57 not out off 36 balls. The match was equal. But the game was over in the 17th over. The responsibility of this over was with Aamer Jamal. The fast bowler took two wickets while bowling very cleverly. Hales was walked on the very first ball and then the new batsman Faheem Ashraf was also run out.
