Pakistan’s veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has announced his retirement from international cricket. With this, Hafeez’s cricket career of more than 18 years came to an end.
However, this player has not yet given an official statement about this. Hafeez announced his retirement from Test cricket in 2018 and his career spanned nearly two decades.
He also represented Pakistan in three ODI World Cups and six T20 World Cups. 41-year-old Hafeez, who made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in 2003, played his last international match in T20 World 2021 last year.
Hafeez has been a top order batsman as well as an off spin bowler. He signed with Lahore Qalandars for the upcoming edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL). He will be seen playing in franchise cricket.
Former Pakistan captain Hafeez played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20 Internationals. He scored a total of 12,780 runs in all three formats. Hafeez has been adjudged player of the match 32 times.
