Mitchell played an inning of 129 runs in 119 balls before Delhi was dismissed in the 46th over. Mitchell completed his century but Latham missed by just 2 runs. New Zealand, however, scored 336 runs losing 5 wickets.

Mitchell, who failed in the T20 series against Pakistan, has equalized it in the ODI series. Before this series, Mitchell had only one century in 21 matches in ODI cricket.
