But, in the new rankings, Neeraj Chopra, who introduced Javelin in India, is world number one because his rating points are higher than Alexander Peters. The Indian star has left behind the javelin thrower of Grenada with 1455 rating points. Alexander Peters is at number two with 1433 points. Meaning, there is now a gap of 22 points between the two, which is a huge gap.

Now the question is that how suddenly there was a jump in the rating points of Neeraj Chopra, which directly made him the world number one thrower. So it didn’t happen suddenly. Chopra ji started writing its script from September last year itself. Meaning when he became world number two, only after that.

World No. 1 script started writing from September 2022 itself

In September 2022, Neeraj Chopra participated in the Diamond League held in Zurich and won its final. This success was historic because he became the first Indian to do so. After this, he also won the Diamond League held in Doha on May 5 this year. Here, Neeraj Chopra won the title by hitting 88.67 meters on his javelin.

These two achievements of Neeraj Chopra not only widened the chest of India, but also worked to take him to that height, where he had never reached before. Neeraj Chopra became world number one.
