He scored a career-best 122 off just 61 balls with 12 fours and six sixes at a strike rate of 200 against Afghanistan in the Super Four stage of the tournament. With this, he also ended his century drought of three years.
Kohli continued that sensational form till the T20 World Cup, where he played one of the greatest T20 innings in India’s win against Pakistan in Melbourne. An unbeaten 82 in a last-ball thriller set the tone for the rest of the tournament, where he scored three more half-centuries and finished as the highest run-scorer with 296 runs.
Nominated for the ICC Men’s T20 Cricketer of the Year 2022, Suryakumar had a sensational year in the shortest format of the game. He became the second batsman to score more than 1000 runs in a year in the format with his 360-degree strokeplay.
He ended the year as the highest run-scorer in T20Is. Scored 1164 runs at an average of 46.56 at a ridiculous strike-rate of 187.43, including two centuries and nine half-centuries. His record of 68 sixes in 2022 is the most number of sixes hit by a player in a year.
Suryakumar scored match-changing half-centuries in the T20 World Cup in Australia, scoring 239 runs at an impressive average of 59.75 and an impressive strike-rate of 189.68, against South Africa, Zimbabwe and the Netherlands.

In 2022, Hardik has missed a lot of his time due to injuries as India wanted him to contribute with both bat and ball. He enjoyed the best of 2022 as he scored 607 runs and also picked up 20 wickets in T20Is.
