- Team India has to play 3 Tests and 3 ODIs in South Africa.
- Virat Kohli’s bat has not scored a century for the last two years
Under the leadership of Virat Kohli, the Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand 2-0 in the two-match Test series. Kohli was not a part of the first Test match played in Kanpur under the break. He returned to the team through the second Test played in Mumbai.
It was expected that Kohli would do well with the bat in the Mumbai Test but it did not happen and once again the wait for the century got longer. The Indian captain, who was dismissed for zero in the first innings, could not do anything special in the second innings as well and returned to the pavilion after scoring 36 runs.
Apart from cricket, Virat is also very active on social media. Remembering the 80s, he uploaded a photo of himself on his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, in which he is seen sitting on a fake bike.
Kohli has a helmet on his head and childish expressions on his face. Sharing the photo, Virat wrote the caption, ’80s kids, back in the old days…’ Kohli recently became the first cricketer in the world to win 50 or more matches as a player in all three formats of the game after the Mumbai Test.
The Indian team is now going to tour South Africa where it has to play a series of 3 Tests and 3 ODIs with the hosts. The series will begin with the Boxing Day Test on December 26. However, Team India has not been selected for this series yet.
Kohli left the T20 captaincy of Team India after the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. India’s performance in the T20 World Cup concluded in UAE was not very special and Team India was knocked out of the tournament in the group stage itself.
