Former Indian cricket team all-rounder Irfan Pathan has become a father for the second time. Irfan gave this information on social media. Former left-handed pacer’s wife Safa Baig gave birth to a son on December 28. Irfan has named his son Suleiman Khan.

Irfan, who played 29 Test matches for India, shared a picture of himself with his son on his official Instagram page, writing, ‘Safa and I welcome our son Suleman Khan. Both mother and son are fine.

Earlier, Irfan Pathan had received a son Ratna in 2016. Irfan’s first son’s name is Imran Khan Pathan. Irfan keeps sharing photos and videos of his elder son Imran on social media. Irfan and Safa Baig got married on 4 February 2016 in Mecca.

Irfan Pathan announced his retirement from all forms of cricket last year (2020). When Irfan was 19 years old, he played the first match for India against Australia in 2003. He played his last match in the 2012 World T20 against Sri Lanka.

Irfan made history in 2006 when he took a hat-trick in the first over of the Karachi Test against Pakistan. He became the first pacer to take a hat-trick for India in Test cricket. He was the second Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh to take a hat-trick in Tests, but his first in the first over. However, the Indian team still had to face defeat in this match.
