Indian woman cricketer’s body found hanging from tree, mother accuses coach

Cuttack: The sports world is shocked by the death of India’s rising female cricketer Rajshree. The body of Rajshree, a resident of Odisha, was found hanging from a tree in Hurudizhatiya forest. Rajshree’s death is being linked to both the aspect of murder and suicide. Meanwhile, the family members of 22-year-old Rajshree have made serious allegations against the women coach of the team, holding the Odisha Cricket Association responsible for the death. However, in its initial investigation, the police is calling the matter a suicide.

According to the report, Rajshree was missing for the last three days. The police started a search with the help of the last location of his mobile, after which he could be traced. Earlier, the Odisha Cricket Association had lodged a missing case with the police regarding Rajshree.

According to media reports, Rajshree was going through mental stress. Rajshree was included in the team’s training camp among 25 players but when the finalists were selected, he did not find a place. After this she disappeared from 11 January.

On the other hand, Rajshree’s mother has accused the selection committee after her daughter’s death. Rajshree’s mother said, ‘Her daughter had come to Cuttack to participate in the camp. The camp was going to run for 10 days, so she stayed in a hotel here. My daughter was deliberately not included in the team even though she was very good at playing.

Rajshree’s entire family is shocked after this incident. At the same time, her mother also agreed that Rajshree was under a lot of stress and she had also told about this to her sister on the phone. On the other hand, regarding the Cricket Association, Rajshree’s mother said, ‘When my daughter went missing, the association kept it a secret. The camp organizers did not have any information till we contacted them.

On the other hand, there was no statement from the Odisha Cricket Association on the death of Rajshree, but saying goodbye to the world like this of an emerging cricketer has raised many big questions behind him.
