New Delhi. The much-awaited match between India and Pakistan during the upcoming ODI Cricket World Cup will be played in Ahmedabad on 15 October. This thing has been revealed in the draft schedule of this event. According to a report in ESPNcricinfo, the BCCI has shared the draft schedule with the ICC, which has sent it to the participating nations for feedback before the final schedule is released early next week.
According to the preliminary draft schedule of the 2023 ODI World Cup prepared by the BCCI, England and New Zealand will clash in the tournament-opener on October 5, while India will begin their campaign against Australia on October 8 in Chennai.
The report further states that during the league stage, India are to play their league matches at nine venues while Pakistan are to play at five venues.
While the draft schedule has not given details about the semi-final venues, it is expected that these will be held on November 15 and 16. The final match of the tournament will be held in Ahmedabad on 19 November.
