Hyderabad: In the first ODI between India and New Zealand, the third umpire gave a very strange decision regarding the dismissal of Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya was playing on 28 and Daryl Mitchell’s ball reaches the wicketkeeper without bat, but the bails are seen falling, then the field umpire referred to the third umpire. After seeing the replays several times on this, the third umpire declared out, while the commentators Mohammad Kaif, Sanjay Bangar and Hardik Pandya himself did not agree with it.

Commentators Mohammad Kaif and Sanjay Bangar were surprised as the umpire declared Hardik Pandya out. Kaif said – The wicketkeeper stands a little behind, but here he is standing right near the stumps. The ball seems to be going into his glove. It doesn’t even hit the stumps. The light turns on when the glove is removed. This is totally wrong decision.

On the other hand, Sanjay Bangar said – It is absolutely surprising. The ball seems to be going over the stumps. How can the umpire give out? Looks like the glove is on the stumps and not the ball. This decision is disappointing. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya returned to the pavilion disappointed after the umpire’s decision. He scored 28 runs in 38 balls with the help of 3 fours.
