New Delhi: Team coach Rahul Dravid has given a sigh of relief to Ajinkya Rahane, who returned to India’s Test team after almost one and a half years after showing a brilliant game in domestic cricket. Rahane has been selected in the Indian team for the final of the ICC World Test Championship starting against Australia from June 7. Rahane was once the vice-captain of Team India but then he was dropped from the team due to poor form. Now he is back. Dravid has said that the final is not the only chance for Rahane.
Actually, Rahane got a place in the team due to the injury of Mumbai’s Shreyas Iyer. Iyer replaced Rahane in the Test team. Iyer was injured before the IPL and hence will not be able to play in the final of the Test Championship. Rahane has come in his place. In such a situation, the question was in everyone’s mind whether Rahane would go out after Iyer’s arrival or not.
