Indian cricket team’s veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin came to bat as nightwatchman after the dismissal of KL Rahul in the first innings. To which he said,
‘I really struggle sitting inside watching players bat sometimes, I’m quite nervous these days. I look forward to batting first whenever I get a chance from them (team management). My friend Pujara said, ‘I need a nightwatchman, 20 minutes are left.’ I happily took advantage of this opportunity.
The condition of the match was something like this
Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Due to which he was able to put only 177 runs on the board. In response to which the Indian team came out to bat and scored 400 runs and got a lead of 223 runs. Significantly, in the second innings, the Australia team was even more flop. He was reduced to a score of just 91 runs. Nonetheless, Bharta easily won the match by an innings and 132 runs.
