In this match, on one hand Rohit Sharma was captaining Mumbai and on the other hand, Virat Kohli was playing for RCB. During the match, when the captain of Mumbai went out to bat, a very interesting incident was witnessed. Actually, Virat Kohli said something to Mohammad Siraj during the bowling which hitman did not like. In fact, Virat Kohli shouted to Mohammad Siraj in the middle of the over and said – Hit the helmet pe maar i.e. Hit the ball on the helmet of Rohit Sharma. After this Rohit Sharma was seen smiling in his own style. Here Virat Kohli meant the bouncer. However, this thing did not go down too well with the fans. Well, talking about the match, Mumbai Indians batting first scored 171 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. For him, Tilak Verma played an unbeaten inning of 84 runs in 46 balls, hitting 9 fours and 4 sixes. Karn Sharma took 2 for Bangalore, while Mohammad Siraj Topley, Akash Deep, Harshal Patel and Braswell took one wicket each.
In response, Bangalore achieved the target by losing only 2 wickets on the basis of half-centuries of Virat Kohli (82 not out) and captain Faf du Plessis (73). Kohli hit 6 fours and 5 sixes in 49 balls, while Plessis hit 5 fours and 6 sixes in 43 balls.
