T20 World Cup 2021 has started, India’s team will play its first World Cup match against Pakistan on 24 October. Former Indian players VVS Laxman and Irfan Pathan have announced their playing XI for that match. Both the veterans have chosen largely similar teams, with many big names missing in the playing XI of both. The first big move that VVS and Irfan have taken in their playing XI is to play Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Both the players believe that Bhuvneshwar is an experienced fast bowler who can bowl well under pressure and help India win against Pakistan. After Bhuvneshwar Kumar, both the legends have replaced Ashwin with mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty in the team.
As the openers of the Indian team, both players have kept Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul in their team, including Virat Kohli at number 3. For No. 4, he once again made a very interesting decision where he replaced the in-form Ishan Kishan with Suryakumar Yadav in the team. Both the players have chosen Rishabh Pant at number 5. Apart from this, both VVS Laxman and Irfan Pathan have selected Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja as all-rounders at number 6-7.
