New Delhi: Indian women’s cricket team defeated England by 16 runs in the third ODI. With this victory, Team India made England clean sweep for the first time in their home. Along with this, the Indian team also gave a great farewell to veteran fast bowler Jhulan Goswami. Although at the end of the match a controversy arose regarding Mankading, about which questions were also asked to captain Harmanpreet Kaur, but Harman gave such a scathing answer to all the questions that the opponent must have been stunned to hear.
In fact, after the match, Harmanpreet was asked about Deepti Sharma whether the run out she had done by Mankading to Charlie Dean was right. To this Harman said, ‘I thought you would also ask about the nine wickets that we took before Charlie. Taking those nine wickets was not easy at all. I don’t think we have done anything new. I think it shows your awareness of what the batsmen are doing. I will support my player because I don’t think he has done anything which is not in ICC rules.
Let us inform that Charlie Dean along with Freya Davis had raised the winning hopes for England chasing the target of 170 runs in the match, but Deepti Sharma, showing understanding, got Charlie run out by Mandaking. When Deepti went to bowl, Charlie Dean went far ahead of the bowling end even before she could bowl and the Indian bowler gave her a run out for India.
