Cricket’s master blaster cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has been named in the Pandora Papers leak case which also includes the names of current and former world leaders, politicians and public officials in 91 countries and territories, including India. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists has revealed the Pandora Papers. The names of many big people are coming out in these documents leaked on Sunday. It also includes the names of Pakistan’s Chief Minister Imran Khan and several ministers.
Over 11.9 million secret files found
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) claimed to have found over 11.9 million secret files to unearth the secret financial transactions of several super-rich, in which the rich have been exposed to tax and hide their real wealth. On the matter, Tendulkar’s counsel submitted that the cricketer’s investment is legitimate and it has been announced to the tax authorities. The ICIJ said that the leaked records were found from 14 shell companies around the world that work to hide the assets and financial assets of their clients from the eyes of the government. These companies also protect clients from tax saving to illegal financial transactions.

Pop singer Shakira’s name also included
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), which includes investigative journalists from the BBC and The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom, has revealed the names of many big and powerful world leaders in the Pandora Papers investigation. Those linked to the secret documents include legendary cricketer Tendulkar, pop music icon Shakira, supermodel Claudia Schiffer and an Italian mobster. Singer Shakira’s lawyer said that the pop singer has declared her companies. Their companies do not get any tax benefit. On the other hand, Imran Khan’s spokesperson says that if anyone’s name also appears in the Pandora Papers, then he himself will be responsible for the matter and strict action will be taken by the government.
