A three-match ODI series was going to be held in Karachi between the women’s teams of Pakistan and West Indies, but now the sword of Corona is hanging on it. Six female players of Pakistan team have been found positive in the Corona test. All the players found to be corona infected have been kept in isolation at this time and the rest of the players have been tested.
So far, the Pakistan Cricket Board has not revealed the names of the players found to be Corona positive, the PCB Board spokesperson said that by November 6, there will be a 15-member full team and they can play the match against West Indies. According to the information, on October 28, three female players of the Pakistan team were found positive, after which they were isolated. The PCB has expressed hope that these three players will be able to participate in the series to be held from November 6.
In the Corona test held again on 29 October, 3 more female players were found positive. For this series, the Pakistan team was practicing at the PCB’s training center located in Karachi, during which the players were found positive, after which the entire team and support staff were isolated.
The PCB board had recently announced the team for the series with the West Indies, along with it also announced the names of 18 players for the Women’s ODI World Cup Qualifier to be held in Zimbabwe. Javeria Khan was given the command of the team, the Pakistan team was about to leave for Zimbabwe immediately after playing against the West Indies. The World Cup qualifier matches will be played from November 21 to December 5.
West Indies team reached Karachi on 1 November to play ODI series with Pakistan. After reaching Karachi, the West Indies players were kept in isolation for three days. On Thursday, the West Indies team was seen practicing.
