Earlier in the day, MI faced Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last match of the league stage with a need to win match. Cameron Green’s superb innings of an unbeaten century off 47 kept Mumbai’s hopes alive and defeated Sunrisers by eight wickets.
GT will next take on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Qualifier 1 on May 23 while MI will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Eliminator 1 on May 24.
