New Delhi:In the Indian Premier League 2023, Delhi Capitals, who had lost in five consecutive matches, somehow got their first win. Delhi opened their account of victory by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders in their sixth match. Earlier, nothing was happening right for Delhi neither on the cricket field nor outside it. The team was getting continuous defeats on one side, while returning from Bangalore, 16 bats were stolen along with the kit bags of some players, but with the victory of the team, now another relief news has come to the fore. The stolen goods have been confiscated. Delhi Capitals captain David Warner himself shared the story on social media and informed that his lost luggage has been found. However some items are still missing. The thief who stole the kit bag has been taken into custody by the police and efforts are on to recover the remaining items as well. Captain David Warner had three bats while Phil Salt and Mitchell Marsh had two bats each in the stolen items.
Warner batted fast against KKR
In the 16th season of IPL, David Warner has undoubtedly played four half-century innings in 6 matches, but there has been a lot of ruckus about his strike rate. However, while batting fast in the match against KKR, he gave a befitting reply to the critics.
In the match against KKR, Warner scored an inning of 57 runs in 41 balls. In this innings, he hit a total of 11 fours. However, this was the sixth consecutive match in which Warner did not hit a single six.
Delhi somehow got victory
Captain David Warner won the toss and decided to bowl first at the Arun Jaitley Stadium against KKR. The bowlers did a great job for Delhi but the batting was very disappointing. Apart from captain David Warner, none of the other batsmen failed to make a mark. This is the reason why the condition of Delhi Capitals had worsened in achieving the target of just 128 runs. However, in the last over, Aksar Patel and somehow scored 19 runs for the team, giving Delhi their first win this season.
