    Bangladesh clean sweep of world champion England, won third T20 match by 16 runs

    New Delhi: After a half-century from opener Liton Das, Bangladesh beat world champions England by 16 runs in the third and final T20 International cricket match on Tuesday, March 14, thanks to a good performance by bowlers led by Mustafizur Rahman. With this win, Bangladesh made a clean sweep of world champions England 3-0 in the three-match series. Wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das scored 73 off 57 balls with the help of 10 fours and a six.

    He put on 55 for the first wicket with Ronnie Talukdar (24) and 84 for the second wicket with Najmul Hasan Shanto (47 not out) as Bangladesh posted a challenging 158 for two, batting first. During the 95-run partnership for the second wicket between England opener David Malan (53) and captain Jos Buttler (40), the visiting team looked to be in a position to win but both of them were dismissed in consecutive balls in the 14th over. His innings faltered and in the end he could only manage 142 runs for six wickets.

    Mustafizur got the crucial wicket of Malan for 14 runs in four overs while Buttler was run out on the next ball. After this Bangladesh bowlers tightened the screws. Taskin Ahmed was the most successful bowler from Bangladesh. He took two wickets for 26 runs. Let us tell you that Bangladesh won by six wickets in the first match and England by four wickets in the second match. Although England had earlier won the ODI series 2–1. Let us tell you that Bangladesh had won the third ODI. In such a situation, he was able to defeat England, the champion of both limited overs formats, in four consecutive matches.
