Asian Games: India got two medals in javelin throw, Neeraj Chopra got gold and Kishore Jena won silver medal.
Hangzhou (Hindustan Republic) India has won two medals in the javelin throw competition in the 19th Asian Games being played in China. Indian star Neeraj Chopra has won the gold medal in the competition. Indian teenager Jena also performed well. He won the silver medal by standing second.
Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal with a best throw of 88.88 metres. Whereas, Kishore Jena won the silver medal with the best throw of 87.54 meters. Neeraj Chopra also won the gold medal in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games. Genki Dean of Japan finished third with a best throw of 82.68 meters and won the bronze medal.
Neeraj Chopra’s first throw was 82.38 meters. In the second attempt he threw to a distance of 84.49 meters. Neeraj’s third throw was a foul. After this, in the fourth attempt he threw 88.88 meters. Throwed a distance of 80.80 meters in the fifth. Neeraj’s sixth throw was a foul. In this way he won the gold medal with the best throw of 88.88 meters.
Whereas Indian teenager Jena’s best throw came in the fourth attempt. His first throw was 81.26 metres. Jena’s second throw was 79.76 metres. Kishore Jena’s third throw was 86.77 meters. Jena’s fourth throw was 87.54 meters. Kishore Jena’s fifth and sixth throws were fouls. In this way, he stood second with a best throw of 86.77 meters and won the silver medal.
