New Delhi: The Asia Cup is to be organized this year. Pakistan is the host of this Asia Cup but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has categorically denied that it will not send its team to Pakistan for this tournament. Pakistan is also not ready to take the Asia Cup out of its country. In this case the matter is stuck. But if Sri Lanka Cricket President Shammi Silva is to be believed then the decision on this can be taken soon.
Relations between India and Pakistan are not good, so India refused to go to Pakistan for the Asia Cup. The BCCI had proposed that the Asia Cup be held outside Pakistan. Pakistan did not agree on this.

decision will be soon
According to Silva, it can be decided soon on where the Asia Cup will be played. According to the report of Hindustan Times, Silva while talking to the media in Sri Lanka on Sunday said that he has been invited for the playoffs of IPL-2023. He said that the Asia Cup will be discussed on this tour. During this there will be no one from PCB. He said that a decision will be taken regarding the Asia Cup in the next few weeks.
Pakistan had also made a proposal to host this Asia Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi had said that the Asia Cup should be hosted in Pakistan and India’s matches should be played in the UAE. Pakistan has even said that if India refrains from coming here and boycotts the Asia Cup, then it will also not come to the ODI World Cup to be hosted by India this year. The ODI World Cup will be played only after the Asia Cup.
“We have been invited to witness IPL Play-Offs in India and during that trip, there will be discussions on the Asia Cup 2023. Nothing has been decided yet. But, I think the fate of Asia Cup 2023 will be decided over the next week or so. SLC President Shammi Silva said today.
