Announcing his retirement from IPL, Rayudu wrote on Twitter, “I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. In the 13 years I’ve played it, I’ve had a great time with two great teams. Would love to sincerely thank Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for a wonderful journey.
However, the situation on his retirement is not clear yet, as the 36-year-old batsman deleted his tweet after some time. Because of this, the fans are confused whether Rayudu has really retired or is it something else.
not surprised the first time
This is not the first time that Ambati Rayudu has surprised the fans. He had announced his retirement from international cricket in the middle of the 2019 World Cup. He was the leading batsman of the team till the tournament. But after not getting a place in the team, he first expressed his displeasure on social media and then announced his retirement. However, after a few months, he announced his return by taking a U-turn.

So far Ambati Rayudu has played 187 IPL matches. In this, this batsman has scored 4187 runs at an average of 29 and strike rate of 127. This includes one century and 22 half-centuries. He scored 602 runs for Chennai in IPL 2018. This was his best season.
