According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, till 11:30 pm on Thursday, ‘PVR’ cinemas have done advance booking of 51,000 tickets for ‘Pathan’. While INOX has done advance booking for 38,500 tickets, and Cinepolis for 27,500 tickets. This figure is only for multiplex chains. Whereas in single screen theaters from Hyderabad to Mumbai, the morning and day shows of the first day have become houseful. From Friday, advance booking of ‘Pathan’ is starting at other places across the country as well. In such a situation, the possibility is clearly visible that this film is going to hit the theaters like a tsunami on the opening day.
‘Pathan’ lags behind KGF 2 and ‘Bahubali 2’ in advance booking
Advance booking speed of ‘Pathan’ is 40-50 percent better than ‘Brahmastra’. While it is still 15-20 percent slower than KGF 2. The record of highest advance booking in a day is still in the name of ‘Bahubali 2’. Bumper advance booking was done for the first Sunday of this film of Prabhas and Rana Daggubati. 711,000 tickets for the film were sold through advance booking in a day. Obviously ‘Pathan’ is still far behind in this race.
The ticket price of ‘Pathan’ ranges from Rs 85 to Rs 2100.
According to an unconfirmed figure, ‘Pathan’ has collected around Rs 2 crore in 12 hours from advance booking till Thursday night. There is also a discussion about the cost of the tickets for the film. The ticket price for ‘Pathan’ in single screen theaters in Delhi ranges from Rs.85 to Rs.200. While in Mumbai this price is between Rs 150-250. The cost of tickets in single screen theaters in Kolkata is close to Rs 200 crores. On the other hand, the ticket price in multiplex ranges between Rs.250-350. Apart from this, the price of tickets in IMAX and recliner theaters in multiplexes is around Rs 900-2100.
‘Pathan’ will earn 300 crores in the first five days!
‘Pathan’, directed by Siddharth Anand, is releasing on Wednesday. In such a situation, the film is getting the first weekend of 5 days. While January 26 is a Republic Day holiday just a day after the release. In such a situation, the earnings of ‘Pathan’ can take a big jump on the very next day after the opening day. Film producer and trade analyst Girish Johar says that ‘Pathan’ is going to hit the theaters like a storm. According to Girish Johar, ‘Pathan’ will get a tremendous opening on January 25. There is no holiday on that day, yet looking at the craze of the fans, it seems that this film will easily collect Rs 35-37 crores on the opening day. Whereas on January 26, the film’s earnings can reach up to Rs 45 crore.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will be seen in ‘Pathan’ for 20 minutes
‘Pathan’ stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead roles along with Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh was earlier seen in the film ‘Zero’ in 2018. Interestingly, the film also has cameos by Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Both will be seen in the role of ‘Tiger’ and ‘Zoya’ in the film under Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe. Obviously, ‘Pathan’ is also going to get the benefit of Salman Khan’s strong fan following.
