Accepting the honor, Rajamouli said in the video, “Of all the women in my life, my mother Rajnandani, she thought schooling was overrated and encouraged me to read comics and story books and she taught me Creativity encouraged. My sister-in-law Srivalli, who has been like a mother to me, always encourages me to be the best version of myself.

The ‘Baahubali’ director also talked about his wife and daughters at the award function. He said, ‘My wife Rama, she is the costume designer of my films but more than that she is the designer of my life. Had it not been for her, I would not be here today. For my daughters, she does nothing, just a smile is enough to brighten up my life.’

Story of RRR

Before signing out, the director said, ‘After all my motherland, India, my India great. Jai Hind. Thanks.’ ‘RRR’ won the Critics’ Choice Awards for Best Foreign Film and Best Song. RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR have done the roles. The film grossed over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan and Shriya Saran have worked in the film.
