Mamta has fought with cancer

She spoke with Time of India in 2014 and said, ‘Well, I cannot say that I am as strong as I was when I first got this disease. I was the kind of person who never worried about anything, no matter what the issue was. But for the first time in my life I was scared. It’s easy to say, be positive. But this time I felt that it is okay to be afraid, to be human.
Talking about the filmography, Mamta made her debut in the 2005 Malayalam film Mayukham directed by Hariharan. She worked with Mammootty in ‘Bus Conductor’, with Suresh Gopi in ‘Adubootham Aur Lanka’ (2006) and with Jayaram in ‘Madhuchandralekha’ in the same year. Mamta is also a famous singer. After working mainly in Malayalam cinema, he has also worked in some Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films.
