Ayan is the James Cameron of Indian Cinema
When asked about the change in film making now, Mahesh Bhatt told Pinkvilla, ‘I was amazed by Brahmastra. When I saw the film, I thought it was a giant leap and I have no hesitation in saying that Ayan Mukerji is the James Cameron of Indian cinema. Mahesh Bhatt further added, ‘Of course, it needed a Disney and the support of the likes of Uday Shankar, Karan Johar and the entire team of Ranbir-Alia and Ayaan but I think it is quite surprising.’

Mahesh Bhatt lauded Ayan Mukerji’s courage and said, “Here’s a filmmaker who says I’m going to stand up and make films that are going to be as good as the best content ever made in the world. Hence, it is making a splash in foreign countries as well. They are great in their packaging and the way they look. They have the breath of India in them.
When will ‘Brahmastra Part 2’ come?
Meanwhile, ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva’ is produced by Star Studios, Dharma Productions, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will reprise their roles as Shiva and Isha in ‘Brahmastra Part Two: Dev’. No release date of the film has been announced yet. However, Ayan Mukerji revealed that he is targeting a December 2025 release for the second part.
