SS Rajamouli met James Cameron at the Critics’ Choice Awards where RRR won the Best Foreign Language Film. He tweeted after their meeting: ‘The great James Cameron watched RRR. He liked it so much that he recommended it to his wife, Suzy, and watched it again with her. Sir, I still can’t believe you spent 10 whole minutes analyzing our movie with us. As you said I am on top of the world…Thank you both.

Earlier, American journalist Anne Thompson congratulated team ‘RRR’ on winning the honor and also revealed that ‘Avatar: Way of Water’ director James Cameron is a fan of the film. He tweeted, ‘RRR wins Best Foreign Film at CCA – every bit of awareness helps more people watch it! I ss Introduced myself to Rajamouli and my tablemate Jim Cameron also praises the film. The official Twitter handle of the film ‘RRR’ posted the tweet and wrote, ‘James Cameron appreciates RRR… Love you sir @JimCameron #RRRMovie.’

SS Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ won two Critics’ Choice Awards including Best Foreign Language Film and Best Song. It was nominated in five categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Song for Naatu Naatu and Best Scenes. Last week, the film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Song for Naatu Naatu. The film has already made it to the long list of ‘Films Not in English Language’ for the ‘BAFTA Film Awards’. It also made it to the boast music Oscar shortlist.

Story of RRR

‘RRR’ is a fictional story set in the pre-independent era of 1920’s and is based on the lives of two real heroes and famous revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. While Ram Charan played the role of Ram, Jr NTR aka Tarak was seen as Bheem. The film grossed over 1000 crores during its theatrical run in India.
