Story of Madras Presidency in ‘Captain Miller’
Arun Matheswaran is directing ‘Captain Miller’. According to the information, the story of the film is based on the Madras Presidency of 1930-40. It will be an intense and dark film. The director has revealed that ‘Captain Miller’ will have a story of 15 years. In this, Dhanush will be seen in three different looks. While Dhanush will play the lead role of ‘Captain Miller’ in the film, apart from this he will have two more names. Arun says that when he had prepared half the script of the film, then only he felt that Dhanush could be the best choice for this film. This is because emotion is very important along with action in the story.
Shooting will be done on real location
Arun Matheswaran has worked with Dhanush in the past as well. Arun says that the shooting of ‘Captain Miller’ will be done at different real locations across the country. Arun Matheswaran made the Tamil film ‘Rocky’ in 2021. His second film ‘Sani Qaidham’ was released on Amazon Prime Video this year. The cinematography in Dhanush’s action film ‘Jagme Thandiram’, which released on Netflix last year, was highly appreciated, credit goes to Shreyas Krishna. Shreyas will also handle the cinematography of ‘Captain Miller’.
‘Captain Miller’ to release in 2023
There will be a special focus on action sequences in ‘Captain Miller’. For this, stunt director Dilip Subbaryan of Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’, Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Theri’ and ‘Aranya Kandam’ have been included in the team. The shooting of the film will start in the next 3 months. While this film will be released in 2023.
