Filmmaker Karan Johar has recently revealed that he wanted to offer Shahrukh Khan a small role in his previous film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. It could have been a cameo role, although he did not have the courage to ask Shahrukh, because Shahrukh had not taken any fees for his film Brahmastra. Apart from this, Shahrukh has also done a cameo in Karan Johar’s film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
Shahrukh Khan has a cameo in almost every film of Karan Johar, be it Brahmastra or Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. In such a situation, when Shahrukh was not seen in his film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, everyone wanted to know the reason. Now recently, while talking to Pinkvilla, Karan Johar has given the reason for not taking Shahrukh in the love story of Rocky and Rani. He said, my entire team of assistant directors wanted me to replace Ranveer and Alia with Kajol and Shahrukh in the song Tum Kya Mile.

Alia also agreed on this. He further said, but I could not muster the courage to ask him to come to Kashmir for me, get his hair done, wear clothes and shoot the song. Shahrukh never rejects me, so I have to think about what I am going to say to him.
Shahrukh did not take fees for Brahmastra- Karan
Karan Johar has told that Shahrukh did not charge any fee for working in his previous film Brahmastra. He said, I remember when I had asked Shahrukh to do a strong and big role in Brahmastra. At the end of the day he looked at me and said, this is Karan, I can never deny him. But I know that I cannot take his words for granted. I can’t get them to do the work again and again. I remember that in the film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, no one speaks this dialogue better than him, the power of one-sided love is something else.
He said- I was wondering who else could have spoken this dialogue, only a king could have been worthy of it. He never denied me. I would have been embarrassed to ask him, because he had given 12-14 days for Brahmastra and he did not take even a single rupee for it.
