Actor Arvind Trivedi, who played Ravana in Ramayana, died of a heart attack on Tuesday night. He died at the age of 82. The veteran actor was ailing for a long time. Arvind Trivedi became known from house to house by playing the role of Ravana in Ramanand Sagar’s mythological Ramayana. After playing this character, everyone used to see Arvind as Ravana. He has acted in around 300 Hindi and Gujarati films. Arvind was an MP from 1991 to 1996. The veteran actor’s last rites will be held in Mumbai today, October 6.
Sunil Lahiri expressed grief
Arvind’s Ramayan co-star Sunil Lahiri who played Laxman in Ramayan shared the sad news of the actor’s death on social media. He tweeted and showed – Very sad news that our beloved Arvind Bhai (Ravana of Ramayana) is no more with us… God rest his soul (this) is very sad news. I am speechless… I have lost a father who was my guide, well wisher and gentleman. Even before this in May this year, Sunil had rubbished the rumors of Arvind Trivedi’s death. He had asked everyone not to spread fake news in such tense times. Arvind has been a victim of such death trap in the past as well.

Was hospitalized for a long time
According to media reports, Arvind Trivedi was running very ill for a long time. He was not even able to walk properly. Arvind’s nephew Kaustubh Trivedi while talking to the media said that the uncle was unwell for the last few years. Things only got worse in the last three years. He had to be hospitalized several times. He had just come back from the hospital last month. He suffered a heart attack at around 9:30 on Tuesday night. He died at Kandivali residence in Mumbai.
