Aishwarya could not understand Abhishek Bachchan in the first meeting, the actor said – used to joke

Till now the fans knew that Abhishek Bachchan’s first meeting with wife Aishwarya Rai was in the year 2000 during the film ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’. but it’s not like that. Abhishek met Aishwarya for the first time when she was debuting in Bollywood with the film ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’. At that time Abhishek was away from acting and was working as a production boy.

Abhishek has narrated an interesting anecdote from that first meeting with Aishwarya. According to the report of our colleague ETimes, Abhishek recently told in ‘The Ranveer Show Podcast’ that he was the production boy in Papa Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Mrityutata’. He had passed out from college and was working in production. Then he was sent to Switzerland to reiki the location of a film of his father. Bobby Deol and Aishwarya were also shooting for the film in Switzerland. Then Bobby Deol and Aishwarya invited him to dinner.

Abhishek told that at that time the shooting of Aishwarya’s debut film ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’ was going on. It was Bobby Deol’s first film with Aishwarya. So when Abhishek reached the dinner, he met Bobby Deol there and also met Aishwarya there for the first time.

Abhishek told that in the first meeting, Aishwarya did not understand his words and used to make fun of him. She used to say, ‘I can’t understand a single word of what you said. What are you saying? Abhishek said that he attended International Boarding School and then went to Boston. Maybe his accent would have been heavy. According to Abhishek, at that time Aishwarya did not understand what she said.

Later, Abhishek entered films in the year 2000 and then also worked with Aishwarya. Both did films like ‘Dhai Akshar Prem Ke’ and ‘Guru’. Abhishek and Aishwarya fell in love while working together and then they got married in 2007. Abhishek and Aishwarya had a daughter in the year 2011, whom they named Aaradhya.
