The government is continuously taking big steps for the rights of daughters in BJP rule. In 2015, the Prime Minister of the country, Narendra Modi started the scheme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, while UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a big gift to the daughters. The Yogi government has announced that now married daughters from the deceased dependent quota will also be entitled to government jobs, meaning, the married daughter of a state employee who died during the service will now be considered eligible for compassionate appointment and will be able to apply for it. Till now they did not get this facility. For this, the state government has decided to include the married daughter in the definition of family of the deceased employee while approving the twelfth amendment in the recruitment rules of dependents of government servants who died in Uttar Pradesh service. This proposal of the Personnel Department has been approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday.
What’s the change in the rules?
Till now the employee’s husband, wife, unmarried son and daughter, married son were included. Unmarried daughters were not involved in this. The High Court, while hearing a petition, had ordered to include married daughter in the definition of family. The central government has also included a married daughter in the definition of family in its rules. Now the state government has decided to include married daughter in the definition of family, let us tell you that due to lack of arrangement for married daughters, they were not getting jobs on compassionate grounds on the deceased dependent quota. There were also many cases where families had to face problems due to being the only married daughter. Such cases even reached the court. After which the Chief Minister took cognizance of the matter and it was agreed to amend the old system that married daughters should also be included in the definition of family. After which the Personnel Department had sent the Recruitment Rules-2021 of dependents of government servants who died in Uttar Pradesh service for cabinet approval. The Chief Minister approved this proposal by the cabinet by circulation. After this decision of the Yogi government, now the way has been cleared for the compassionate married daughters to get jobs in the government departments of the state.
Yogi cabinet gift to UP
The UP government has given its approval to the announcement of increase in sugarcane price by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for this year’s crushing season 2021-22. Cabinet by-circulation approval was given to the proposal prepared by the Department of Sugarcane Development and Sugar Industry in this regard. UP government will give free ration to eligible household and Antyodaya card holders till March 2022. Yogi government has fulfilled the promise given in BJP’s manifesto. Registered advocates will now be able to get Rs 5 lakh as a lump sum. The cabinet approved the proposal of the Department of Justice. Under this, it was decided to change the UP Advocates Welfare Fund Act, 1974. An ordinance related to this will be issued soon. Along with this, the cabinet has approved the proposal of land for the guest house of Public Works Department (Lavipra) at Bhadohi. For the construction of guest house of Lavipra, it has been decided to transfer a total of 57200 sq. ft. land from the Revenue Department to the Public Works Department in the old Tehsil Gyanpur complex and the vacant space adjacent to it. Apart from this, the annual report related to three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions of Chief Audit Officer, Co-operative Societies and Panchayats of UP will be presented before the Legislature on the year 2013-14.
