Malay Kedia is also among the top five scorers in JEE (Mains). Kedia is busy preparing for JEE (Advanced). For this, he is also studying every day. While talking to News18, he said that for the time being, his ultimate goal is to clear the exam to get into IIT with All India Rank (AIR) 1, for which he has put up a poster of the same on his almirah. This is because only the first 50 All India Rankers get admission in Computer Science at IIT-Bombay. That’s why computer science is the most popular course at this time. After studying from here, students easily get jobs worth crores.
However, when Kedia was asked why he did not want to pursue B.Tech in any other trade? To this, Kedia said that today computers are present in every sphere of life, be it emerging technologies like AI or robotics or any other sub-sector. He emphasized that pursuing it can open up better prospects in future than other courses.
Kedia said that there is a huge difference in the placements and packages offered to computer science students and students of other traditional trades. Most of the top companies offer Rs 1.5 cr to Rs 2 cr for CS students, while it is in the Rs 15-18 lac bracket for core subjects. That’s why it’s so popular (of course).
Kedia’s ultimate goal is to pursue research in AI at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Kedia said to the fellow examinees that he would give only one advice that they should never deviate from their goal and should pay equal attention to coaching as well as self study. Because without self study no goal can be achieved.
