The credit in the National Credit Framework is determined on the basis of hours of learning. This can be understood in this way. For example, students in class 5 i.e. primary school will be in credit one. At the same time, credit will go to class 8 or higher primary. While the credit system will increase by 0.5 for learning beyond secondary. Similarly in class 10 and class 12 students credit will be of 4.
This is how the credit system will be implemented at the college or university level
In four year graduation i.e. multiple based exit system will include 4.5, 5.0, 5.5, and 6.0 credits. Whereas, post graduation will include 6.5, 7.the credits. The Ph.D. will have a maximum of 8 credits. However, not much information has been revealed about how the credit of Vedas and Puranas will be decided.
