The mother got cancer during the seventh attempt
Although Pallavi managed to find her name in the UPSC list in her seventh attempt, this time too she had to fight the test of luck. Her mother was battling cancer and undergoing chemotherapy while she appeared for the 2020 examinations. It is very difficult for any child to see the parents in trouble, even in such difficult times, Pallavi kept her patience and kept preparing with the mother.
When luck left, parents held hands
Tired of repeated failures in UPSC, Pallavi made up her mind to give up and give up preparation, but it was her parents who continued to give her courage. With the increasing preparation of Pallavi, the age kept increasing and the hair kept turning white, wrinkles kept increasing on the face. Relatives said, “If you have not got success till now, what will you get now, it is not in luck.” If the age increases then who will marry? But Pallavi’s parents did not pay heed to anyone’s words and stood as a shield protecting their daughter from the taunts of all relatives and society.
New strategy made by rectifying past mistakes in seventh attempt
In 2013, Pallavi jumped into the preparation without knowing the exam pattern, due to which she did not get success. In the seventh attempt i.e. 2020, he rectified his weaknesses and changed the preparation strategy. He started preparing by going to the library by making a time-table. This change and this hard work paid off and became an IAS officer by getting rank 340 in the UPSC 2020 exam.
