KSV Ayurveda Medical College and Research Centre, Shobhit University organized the Third Wellbeing Summit on the 100th birth anniversary of Shri Jagdish Prasad Mathur ji in New Delhi. On this occasion, contemplation and brainstorming were done on making human life more simple, pleasant and healthy through Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy. Along with this, ideas were also shared on the research progress in these areas and the possibilities of promoting them commercially. Public representatives, doctors, researchers, teachers, students and industry representatives participated in the summit along with experts from Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy.
The Third Wellbeing Summit, organized at Le Meridien Hotel, Connaught Place, was inaugurated by the guests by lighting the lamp. The summit was organized in two sessions. Introducing the summit, Shri Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra ji, Chancellor of the University also highlighted its broad objectives. He said that this event is being organized with the message of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’. There is also freedom of contemplation and research, this summit is also a churning of the ocean for a nectar. With this churning, every person can get something according to himself. It is also a festival of Yoga and Ayurveda. Hon’ble Minister of State for AYUSH Dr. Dharam Singh Saini ji said through video message in the program that the way this summit has been promoting world-class education, innovation and research in the field of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy for the last two years is highly commendable. Hearty congratulations to the academicians, researchers, doctors, industry representatives and students involved in the summit. It is hoped that they will try to enrich the field of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy with their own efforts, inspired and encouraged by this summit. Shri Shyam Jaju, former National Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party said that Yoga is our way of life. Today most of the nations of the world are following this ancient and eternal tradition of India. Along with research on Yoga, new courses are being created day by day. Traditions like Summit will only further enrich our Yoga tradition. He also threw light on the life of Shri JP Mathur. Yoga guru Padmashree Bharat Bhushan ji said that education centers must have an important role in areas like yoga and ayurveda. We have to take yoga towards the highest. Yoga beautifies both the individual and the personality. Yoga has the power to change attitude. Yoga alone can also provide us with complete wellbeing. Kairana MP Shri Pradeep Choudhary said that this message of Shobhit University is going across the country in the field of education, it is important. Excellent work works to change many perceptions. Every such work of promoting Yoga, Ayurveda useful for the society is commendable.

During this, students of BNYS and Yoga of Shobhit University, Gangoh also enthralled the visitors with their yoga presentations. Wen Geshe Dorji Damdul, director of Tibet House, said that the solution to getting out of the world’s inequalities is wellbeing. It is external as well as internal. The breadth and clarity of thinking keeps us better in every situation. Yoga Acharya and Kathak dancer Pratishtha Sharma said that whatever we are, we give to others also. If we are happy, then others are automatically happy seeing us. We should inculcate the habit of being happy considering our situations better. Excess of money and resources can never become the reason for happiness.

Inauguration of the second session, Dr. Surakshit Goswami, founder of Yoga Mandiram Trust, gave a message to see the emptiness within by coming out of the outer glare. He said that when we live only in external fame, we become empty from within. But the inner emptiness does not hide from us, nor can we hide the inner ugliness with the outer beauty. Sincerity, simplicity, spontaneity, sincerity do the work of wellbeing among the society, it is very necessary for human life.
After this, a dialogue was held on the topic ‘Rudraksha: A Divine Plant’ by Dr. Shiva Sharma, Dr. Jayanand, Dr. Sandeep Kumar, Dr. Alpana Joshi. In the dialogue, from the medicinal properties of Rudraksh to the research work being done on it, an introduction was given. It was told how Shobhit University has been working for a long time for research on Rudraksha and its expansion. Sound Healer Anju Sharma said that the effect of music can give positivity to our thinking and health. His team also experimented with vocal therapy through various musical instruments. In this sequence, Mr. Arpit Sharma, Founder of Seven Seas Spa, Dr. Pankaj Aggarwal, Director of Agarwal’s Homeo Clinic gave their views on the possibilities of commercialization and tourism in the field of Wellbeing in future and told how it is also a huge area of possibilities.

Dr. Ishwar V Basarvadhi, director of Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, related to the Ministry of AYUSH, said that there are other possibilities of research and experimentation in yoga. Yoga is also important in education, technology, research, spirituality and world peace. Yoga is philosophy, science is science and it is spirituality. Yoga not only reduces stress but also infuses positive energy in human beings. Astrologers Shri Ashok Vasudev, Meena Mahajan and Praveen Chauhan ji spoke on spiritual wellness and explained how yoga-spirituality is a journey from nostalgia to prasad. Ayurveda and Panchakarma consultant Dr. Amit Verma said that diet is very important for wellness in life. It is necessary to do the diet according to the appetite. In the summit, Prof. Ranjit Singh, VC of Shobhit University, Gangoh, Prof. Ajay Rana, VC of Shobhit University, Meerut, presented Rudraksh plant and summit symbol to the guests as a mark of respect. Dr Neha Vashisht conducted the summit.
