Ira did her graduation from Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT), Delhi and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS). He worked as a Strategy Manager in a large confectionery firm. Rejected even after getting selected in UPSC 3 times
Ira Singhal had given UPSC exam in the year 2010, 2011 and 2013 and was given the posting of IRS in these three attempts. Ira states that she was not allowed to join the post due to 62% locomotor disability. After which IRA filed a suit against the Commission in the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT). Here too he had to endure a lot of patience and struggle. Ira won her case in the year 2014 and got selected for IRS. He was appointed to the Assistant Commissioner of Customs and Central Excise Service (IRS). In the meantime, he continued to strive to improve his rank. This decision of the case came ahead of his 2014 Mains exam.
