The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an order to close all the schools across the state in view of the increasing cases of Covid-19. Schools will remain closed till February 15. However, online classes will continue. While issuing the order, the government said that the decision to close the schools has been taken after reviewing the situation of Covid-19 in the state. Let us inform that already schools and colleges in the state were closed till January 30.
Online classes will continue
An official order issued by State Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Avneesh Awasthi said that all schools in Uttar Pradesh will remain closed for physical classes till February 15 to contain the spread of the corona virus disease (Covid-19). Awasthi said that in view of the upcoming secondary board examinations, online classes will continue. Educational institutions were already closed till January 30 in view of the rapidly increasing infection. Now the date has been extended further. Let us inform that the closure of schools and other educational institutions has been extended twice in this month. Earlier there was an order to close all schools and colleges from January 16 to January 23, which was later extended till January 30. Now once it has been extended to 15 February.

Corona infection increasing in Uttar Pradesh
It is known to all that record breaking cases of corona are being registered across the country. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, 10,937 new cases have been registered for Covid in the state. Also 23 deaths were also recorded. After the fresh cases, the total number of active cases rose to 80,342. In the state capital Lucknow alone, 2,096 new cases were reported. This time the assembly elections will be held in 7 phases.
