Mumbai TV queen Ekta Kapoor talks about her supernatural thriller film U-Turn which is directed by Arif Khan and stars Alaya F in the lead role. Ekta said that she learned to experiment and take risks while making this film. People love to see such content on screen.
Sharing her experience of making U-Turn, Ekta said: My biggest learning from U-Turn is the importance of pushing boundaries and taking risks. As a maker it can be easy to stick to what has worked in the past but by taking risks and trying new things we can create something truly unique and impactful.
“I learned the importance of collaboration and attention to detail in the filmmaking process, as well as the need to embrace challenges and adapt to unforeseen circumstances,” he added.
Ekta started her career in the entertainment industry at the age of 17. His first successful show was the 1995 sitcom Hum Paanch. Later in 2000, her show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi became the most successful TV serial.
After this she did many hit shows including Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki Kabhi Sautan Kabhi Saheli Kalash Kasauti Zindagi Ki and Kasam Se. Ekta also came up with the reality show Lock Up hosted by Bollywood star Kangana Ranaut.
Having been in the industry for so long, he feels that supernatural stories are often loved by the audience as it connects with their fear of the unknown and they enjoy experiencing it on screen.
