The exam was held from March 9 to March 29. This year, 4492 students had missed the examination after the Pre-University Department brought back 75 per cent mandatory norms. In 2022, 6,83,563 students appeared for the Karnataka 2nd PUC exam out of which 4,22,966 students passed. Last year the overall pass percentage was 61.88 per cent.

In 2022, Shweta Bhimashankar Bhairagond and Madivalara Sahana of Ballari district topped Arts by scoring 594/600. Manav Vinay Kejriwal from Bengaluru and three others topped Commerce with a score of 596/600 and Simran Sesha Rao from Bengaluru topped Science with a score of 598/600.
