Bangalore. Global software company Infosys has opened a technology center in Phoenix, Arizona, US to promote its US enterprises. In a statement issued here on Saturday, the IT company said, “We will recruit 1,000 American people over the next four years to work at our center in the southwestern state.”
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey inaugurated the center in the presence of state officials, company executives, employees and representatives of some enterprises.
The center at Arizona State University (ASU) will aim to work on issues related to autonomous technology, Internet of Things (IoT), full-stack engineering, data science and cyber security.
“Our investment in the center will help us tap local and global talent. The process is on to recruit 500 technicians by 2020.
Infosys Chief Executive Salil Parikh said the Arizona center is the company’s sixth of its kind to open in the US since 2017. It is designed to assist local enterprises to quickly move towards digital transformation. (IANS)
