Delhi Metropolitan Education: Delhi Metropolitan Education (DME), an educational institution affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), organized its 4th Global Strategic Conclave (GSMC 2023-24) from 12 February to 16 February 2024. The event was organized in collaboration with SLIIT Northern Uni, a premier Sri Lankan institute.
The theme of the conference was Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Mental Well-Being: Challenges, Opportunities and Future Trends. The 5-day conference is a gathering of students, academicians, research scholars and eminent personalities from India and Sri Lanka. The global conference aims to bring inter-cultural perspectives and a mix of diverse opinions from academics and corporate professionals.

The theme of the thought-provoking conference was the brainchild of the conference advisors – Professor (Dr.) Ravikant Swamy, Director and Dean, School of DME Management, Professor (Dr.) Purva Ranjan, Head – School of DME Management and Professor (Dr.) Rashmi K. . Nagpal, Additional Director and Dean, DME Law School. Dr. Navya Jain, Associate Professor, DME and Dr. Khushboo Khurana, Assistant Professor, DME organized the conference.

The inaugural ceremony of the first day was dedicated to distinguished guests and distinguished corporate invitees. The following days of the conference will include master classes and paper presentations by participants on sub-themes.
The inaugural ceremony began with the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony and cultural presentations by the students. After this, the theme of the conference was decided and the dignitaries addressed.
Addressing the audience, Professor (Dr.) Ravikant Swamy, Director and Dean, DME Management School, highlighted the importance of diversity for success, citing examples from the UK and US. Professor (Dr.) Purva Ranjan, Head, DME Management School, focused on the relevance of Indian knowledge systems in the management paradigm by highlighting excerpts from Ramayana.
Chief guests of the program – Mr. Amulya Sah, Chief Human Resources Officer, Invest India and Dr. Abha Singh, renowned educationist and psychologist were invited to share their insights about the topic. Shri Sah shared his optimism towards the country and discussed about the challenges faced by HR professionals in the contemporary era.
Dr. Singh explained mental health as a holistic endeavor and discussed how to prioritize both physical and mental health routines at the individual, organizational and societal levels.
Subsequently, dignitaries and chief guests were invited on the stage to unveil the book titled “Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Mental Well-Being: Challenges, Opportunities and Future Trends” written by the department. The program concluded with the vote of thanks presented by the conference coordinators, marking the conclusion of the inaugural ceremony.
