Sony TV issued a statement saying, “We have been alerted about the promotion of a fake video of us and our show Kaun Banega Crorepati. This video misleadingly plays our host’s fabricated voice over and is presenting distorted content. Maintaining the integrity of the show and the trust of our viewers is of paramount importance and we are actively investigating this matter with the Cyber Crime Cell. We strongly condemn such misinformation and urge our viewers to be cautious and avoid sharing unverified content.”

As far as this video is concerned, it is shown that Amitabh Bachchan asks a contestant in the show, which of these Chief Ministers is called the Announcement Minister because of his fake announcements? Its options included, “Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel.” While answering this, the contestant says, ‘Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.’ Later in the edited video, a voice is heard that Amitabh says that is the correct answer.
