1,201 students of IIT got tremendous placement, the biggest offer of more than 2 crores

The process of placement is underway at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. Around 1,201 offers have been accepted till Mangalavar (Day 6) and so far a total of 255 companies have participated in the placement process. Till the sixth day of placements, 240 companies offered jobs to the students. Qualcomm made the highest 40 offers, followed by Samsung Research Institute and Intel Corporation.

By the sixth day, the highest number of offers from international companies came from Rakuten Group. This company offered jobs to 26 students. At the same time, Uber offered the highest international salary package till date to IIT Bombay students at US$ 2,87,550 (over 20 million). According to IIT Bombay, after Uber, Rubrik has offered USD 1.21 lakh (over 91 lakh).

While 51 and 60 companies participated in the placement drive on Day 1 and Day 2, 57 companies interviewed students on Day 3 of IIT Bombay placements. Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Qualcomm, Boston Consulting Group, Airbus, Bain and Co. made the largest number of offers in the domestic sector.

The placement process at IIT Bombay was started on December 1, 2021. IITs are conducting the placements in online mode for the second consecutive year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Institutions have also seen a surge in pre-placement offers this year.
