In the year 2022, the import of Scotch whiskey from Britain increased by 60 percent. India imported 219 million 700ml bottles of Scotch whiskey last year, while France imported 205 million bottles. The Indian Scotch market has grown by over 200 per cent in the last decade. Last year saw a significant increase in the export of Scotch whisky. During this period, 6.2 billion pounds of whiskey was exported to the whole world, which is a record. For the first time this figure has crossed six billion pounds. Most of the Scotch whiskey was exported from Britain to America.
