According to the Rand Stand’s Salary Trend Report, now the small towns of the country have become the residence of well-paid professionals.

Chandigarh at number one
It has been told in this report that Ahmedabad has become the fastest growing city in the country in this regard. If we talk about small cities, then Chandigarh has reached the top in terms of salary. The average salary of junior level employees in a city like Chandigarh has gone up to Rs 5.7 lakh per annum. Similarly, the salary of mid-level jobs in Chandigarh has reached up to Rs 13.7 lakh per annum. The national average is Rs 4.4 lakh for junior level staff and Rs 11 lakh for mid-level jobs. Thiruvananthapuram of Kerala has been at number two in this case.

If we talk about senior level jobs, then Chandigarh has been at number three in this case and the average salary here has been Rs 26.5 lakh. In this case, Bhubaneswar has topped with an average salary of Rs 31.2 lakh, while Kochi in Kerala has come second with an average salary of Rs 28.8 lakh.
How about big cities?
If we talk about the big cities of the country, Bangalore remains at the top in terms of overall job and salary scene. The average salary package in Bangalore for junior level jobs in major cities of the country is Rs 6.7 lakhs while it is Rs 18.1 lakhs for mid level jobs. Mumbai continues to rank first for senior level job salaries with an average salary of Rs 35.7 lakh. Delhi-NCR ranks third in terms of senior level jobs where the average salary is ₹32.6 lakh.
