New Delhi: Often home buyers have to suffer due to the cases of builders not readying the flats on time. In such a situation, you must have heard a lot of home buyers’ displeasure, protests and court cases. But there are also some cases in NCR, in which home buyers have come forward to help the builder after seeing the flat out of hand and are completing the project together. The latest case is from Ghaziabad. Here the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA) has given permission to complete the remaining work of the Vasundhara Grand housing project with the consent of home buyers. The remaining work of the project will have to be completed by May 2023.
December 2020 was the deadlineThe work of this project was to be completed on the stipulated deadline of 16 December 2020. But Nandini Build home Consortium Pvt. Ltd had not completed the work by this deadline. RERA probe revealed that only 82 per cent of the work was completed by the deadline. Following this, the Home Buyers Association asked RERA to intervene. The buyers’ association said that they want the remaining work to be completed under their supervision. So that they can get possession of the flats. For this, more than half of the home buyers gave written consent. The Vasundhara Grand Residential Project consists of 320 residential and 7 commercial units in two towers. 244 residential and one commercial units have been sold. 67 crores will be required to complete the project.
DDA News: Despite many efforts, DDA is unable to get the project registered in RERA
This has happened in the Apple 7 project as well.Earlier, Uttar Pradesh RERA allowed ASGI Properties Pvt Ltd and ASG Apple 7 Buyers Association to jointly complete the Apple 7 project in Ghaziabad. UP RERA has given this permission under RERA Act. The completion date of the Apple 7 project was 22 May 2018. As the project was not completed on time, the Homebuyers Association had approached the authority to intervene and facilitate the completion of the project.
The developer of the project had submitted the consent of 56 out of 105 allottees to complete the remaining work of the project. The promoter’s proposal was evaluated by the Project Management Authority, which recommended acceptance of the proposal.
