UP News: These days, a lot of strictness is being seen in Uttar Pradesh regarding Halal certification. The UP government has recently decided to ban Halal products and has now handed over the verification of certification to the Special Task Force (STF). It is being claimed that UP STF teams will go to Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai to investigate regarding Halal certification. Under this, allegations like terror funding and anti-national activities will be investigated. It is reported that STF can also take help of ATS if needed so that the case can be solved quickly.
What is Halal certification?
Since the UP government has become strict on Halal certification, it is continuously making headlines. Let us tell you that according to Islam, Halal means legitimate. In such a situation, if any food item or beauty product has Halal certification, then this product is considered legitimate. Its direct meaning is that people following the religion of Islam can use these products.

Many types of claims are being made regarding Halal certification. The issue regarding this seems to be gaining momentum and those raising voice against it say that unnecessary promotion of a particular community is being done under the guise of religion. This causes loss to businessmen of other communities. There are also allegations of involvement in anti-national activities regarding this. In such a situation, the UP government has taken immediate cognizance of the matter and ordered an investigation along with a ban on Halal products. It is being claimed that the reality will be known only after the matter is investigated.
